The BMW X5 is a luxury crossover SUV introduced in 1999. It was BMW's first SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) also known as "Four-by-Four" (4x4) in the UK. It features all-wheel drive and is available with either manual or automatic transmission (the manual transmission option was dropped from the 2006 model year onwards). BMW describes the X5 as a Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) rather than an SUV, to emphasize its on-road ability despite its size. Like the Lexus RX 300 and Mercedes M-Class, the X5 heralded the shift from truck-based body-on-frame SUVs to sedan-based crossovers that would come to fruition in the late 2000s.

Before Alpina got into the business of making BMWs faster and more exclusive, the company specialized in office supplies. The move into the car world began more than 40 years ago when company founder Burkard Bovensiepen steered the family business into BMW tuning with a dual Weber carburetor kit for BMW’s then-new 1500 sedan. BMW’s top brass was impressed enough by the quality of Alpina’s work that by the mid-1960s, Alpina-tuned cars were covered under the standard BMW factory warranty. The two companies have been working closely together ever since.

BMW HP-2 Sport Bike Wallpapers
The HP2 Sport does, according to its main claims to fame of a 128 hp engine and 178kg (392-lb) dry weight, tick the right boxes to make it a half decent sportsbike. But in this day and age where Japanese superbikes convincingly rule the power-house for just over half the HP2's projected £14,500 asking price, half decent just isn't good enough.
